Description

The Jones Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Graphic Designer for Jeanswear. This position is responsible for leading all graphic design efforts and supports creating a cohesive brand message. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

*
Develop themes and concepts using inspiration & samples in trend presentations to establish seasonal graphics direction

*
Create and develop logos, illustrations, photographs, tags, labels, etc. as it pertains to soft and/or hard goods

*
Actively participates in the conceptual development of product lines (i.e., sells ideas/concepts and convinces others to adopt a course of action)

*
Acts as an expert resource on graphic product aesthetic and graphics processes

*
Develop, enhance and reference library to allow prompt and easy access for all product groups

*
Present graphics sales data to graphics department as necessary

*
Works primarily independently and handles issues of high complexity

*
Stays abreast of trends, new techniques and resources in graphic design

*
Research new technologies and make recommendations for enhancements, upgrades and purchases

*
Adjust to changing business needs

*
Collaborate with designers to incorporate graphics into line

*
Acts as a technical resource for the Merchant and Production staff regarding the production of graphics

*
Partner with the Law Department to ensure that graphics/designs do not infringe on intellectual property rights of others

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * BA in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
* 4 - 6 years design experience
* Strong design and conceptual skills.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
* Exceptional computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel.
