AT&T AdWorks is rapidly growing in expectation of becoming AT&Ts next billion dollar business.  We are looking for both industry veterans and strong leaders who revel in the prospect of building a better approach to advertising sales that uses the inherent strengths of the world's largest telecommunications company.  AT&T AdWorks is the face to the market for AT&T's newest ad products across IPTV, Mobile, and Online. 
 
The Business Development Group is a new unit being created within the AdWorks organization.  We are seeking a Director - Business Development who will be responsible for driving significant revenue through new business partnerships for the Mobile Advertising platform.  The primary goal of this role will be to secure strategic business relationships that lead directly to revenue generation.  This could include partnerships that provide:
         additional publisher and ad network inventory,
         additional revenue through representation agreements or new sales channels,
         added value through robust data relationships, or
         new technologies to better monetize our current offerings. 
 
The position will report to the VP of Business Development.
 
Responsibilities:
         Within the framework set by the senior management team, design and develop competitive partnership or acquisition strategies, to significantly enhance  the revenues, and profitability of AT&T AdWorks
         Develop relationships with potential partners to uncover new opportunities
         Develop and present a detailed analysis of potential opportunities and work with the Business Development team to communicate forecasted revenue, value proposition and strategic vision of deals
         Drive deals from ideation to completion by working closely with both external and internal cross-functional teams such as product marketing, product management, and product development as well as finance, legal, and operations
         Work closely with the Director of Business Development Operations and other AdWorks stakeholders in Sales, Product, and Marketing to solicit constant feedback, direction, and ideas to help align Business Development projects with the needs of the business
         Engage and educate industry community on AT&T AdWorks value proposition.
         Represent AT&T AdWorks at industry events to foster new and existing relationships with key contacts and to uncover new opportunities
         Prepare and/or present strategic presentations outlining opportunity and value proposition both internally for senior management and externally to potential partners 
         Lead demos, informational sessions, training to other AdWorks groups as necessary

    Skills / Requirements


    Required Qualifications and Skills:

          Proven ability to uncover and close large-scale partnerships, with high-revenue implications

          15+ years experience in the advertising, media, or technology industries with established relationships and contacts throughout each sector

          Proven experience in financial analysis, business operations, and strategy, preferably in a cable or telecom environment

          Track record in building strong, trustworthy, and sustainable relationships both internally and externally to achieve actionable results through others at multiple levels of an organization

          Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

          Direct sales experience in the media or advertising industry

          Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)

          Team player willing to roll up the sleeves and act as both player and coach

          Able to thrive in a fast-developing entrepreneurial environment with analytical mindset and strong organization and project management skills

          Strong analytical and problem solving skills in a deadline driven environment

          Strong professional verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
