Jobing Description

Responsible for all actuarial activities related to Healthfirst commercial business. In addition, provide actuarial support and analyses for all Lines of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Monitor experience under Healthfirst's Commercial line of business and develop reports for Senior Management.
* Responsible for all rate filing as well as rate manual development activities for Healthfirst's Commercial products.
* Participate in the planning and preparation of our future entrance in the Exchange and other changes under the Health Care Reform.
* Assist in other actuarial functions, such as IBNR, Medicare bids, and other actuarial analyses.

Work Experience/Qualifications:

8 years experience.

Education Requirements:

The employee is required to possess a Bachelor's Degree.

Technical Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of SAS.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently to sit, and occasionally walk, key, balance, stand and travel.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an indoor environment.

Conditions of Employment:

Employee must pass pre-employment screening which includes a background check and drug testing. Employee must present documentation to verify minimum of high school educational requirement.
