Job: AVP, Life Pricing Actuary

Jobing Description

Leads an actuarial staff responsible for pricing, product development or research, profitability analysis or reserving activities. Activities include interpreting data, collaborating with other functions, making complex analyses and providing recommendations and forecasts for the assigned area of responsibility. Counsels business partners in strategy development and implementation of the actuarial aspects of the business' operational plans. Assigned area of responsibility may be a business unit or group of product lines.

Job Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with a mathematical, statistical or numerate background.
- ASA designation, FSA preferred.
- 8 or more years of Pricing Actuarial experience with Individual Life and/or Annuities products.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge and skills reflective of an expert practitioner who has progressed within actuarial positions of increasing responsibility typically seen in 8 or more years of related experience.
- Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management, etc.) and in multiple business units is strongly preferred
