Summary:
The incumbent has successfully completed credit training, preferably at Capital One and participates in the underwriting and loan summary preparation related to Credit facilities. Conducts the underwriting and evaluation of loans originated by Loan Officers. Reviews completed loan packages with the credit analyst prior to distribution and evaluate completeness of risk assessment and accuracy of the underwriting details and projections. Develops direct relationship with client through representation on service team.

Responsibilities:
- Assists in the interface between all departments concerned to ensure efficient workflow and scheduling related to preparation of Loan Summaries, Amendments and Reviews.
- Works with the Loan Officers advising them of the credit risks inherent in loans being proposed and of the relevant loan policies, precedents, concentration risks, and related topics.
- Review incoming periodicals to keep abreast of the regulatory, lending and other conditions that drive the credit industry, and keep the credit analyst aware of those changes.
- Partners with Relationship Managers and serves as liaison between business units to help facilitate the flow of information and control of functions affecting the department and/or loan.
- Represents the department and Relationship Manager to Loan Review and the OCC during regular reviews of the loan portfolio.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Management and/or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of banking experience to include exposure to commercial office activities and other applicable banking services/products offered. The incumbent should also be knowledgeable of business development/marketing, and the loan application process which include accepting applications, gathering any necessary information and processing any applicable documentation in order to successfully package a loan application. Experience in handling and processing commercial loan packages.
- Successful completion of a credit training program, either at Capital One, N.A., or from some other financial institution; or within 90-days of hire.
