Responsibilities:
The Construction Supervisors job family is responsible for organizing, directing, supervising and coordinating construction activities at a job site. Responsibilities include: work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records. Responsible for the satisfactory conduct of all construction operations and task accomplishment in an economical, efficient and timely manner on a project. Monitors craft performance relative to budget, schedules and deadlines. Implements and enforces work rules. Requisitions tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and necessary lead times. Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, drawings and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities. Determines and recommends solutions to construction and architectural discrepancies. Monitors manpower utilization, effectiveness and productivity. Facilitates the efficient use of personnel and equipment. Coordinates movement and use of equipment and supplies with procurement. Inspects field work to evaluate construction progress, efficiency of operation and cost control. Responsible for overall project workmanship and goal attainment. Construction Supervisors who are functioning in a quality role on a construction management project should use this classification with a quality discipline.
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
In addition to Levels 1, 2 and 3 competencies provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas or regions through Senior Managers (Level 3); may also manage Managers (Level 2)
