The Market Research Analyst role in the technical product management group of Experian Simmons Research requires experience in analyzing market place trends. The products managed by this group are large-scale syndicated surveys measuring the U.S. consumer s attitudes and opinions, product and brand usage and media consumption behaviors. The role requires the ability to grasp methodologies, analytical approaches, minute survey details, meet production deadlines, help improve automation and monitor/improve the quality of all aspects of survey booklet production.

Primary responsibilities of the Market Research Analyst are:

* Responsible for evaluating marketplace trends with a special emphasis on trends related to media properties, products and brands.
* Work jointly with departmental resources to run market reports using internal and vendor-supplied database systems.
* Evaluate market data to recommend suggestions for consumer survey updates each wave.
* Responsible for obtaining and retaining formal documentation on which media vehicles (magazines, cable networks, etc ) are measured in the consumer survey each wave.
* Responsible for Hispanic consumer survey in terms of translating English-language questions to Spanish and maintaining official documentation for translation decisions.
* Responsible for using external sources to ascertain that the appropriate sets of Spanish- language media vehicles and Hispanic-oriented products/brands are being measured within media measurement sections or product categories.
* Coordinate with graphic design vendors on all changes affecting the Spanish-language surveys to ensure successful product delivery.
* Maintain appropriate documentation and tracking of changes.
* Responsible for all internal documentation and communication of survey changes to other departments.
* Responsible for updating collateral support material aids with media vehicles for consumer survey respondents.
* Responsible for proofreading and editing survey questionnaire content for several large scale research surveys.
* Work jointly with departmental resources to analyze consumer survey data estimates and trends and report on those findings.
* Understand and adhere to defined processes.
* Ensure and maintain product quality.

Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience plus 1-2 years of related work experience
* Must be fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
* Must be able to translate from English to Spanish in written form.
* Strong research skills and fact finding
* Well organized and extremely high level of attention to detail
* Basic knowledge of research concepts and principles
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications with an emphasis on Excel and Word applications
* Ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities/fast-paced environment.
* Ability to coordinate product team efforts effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
