We are currently looking for a forward thinking General Manager of Pricing and Inventory to join our NY Ad Sales team.
Skills / Requirements
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all planning and pricing functions for advertising inventory and staff including 3 Sales Planners, 3 P&I Analysts and 2 Associate Account Executives.
- Develop and maintain customized planning tools and reporting resources for multi-network platform.
- Establish best practices for all Sales, Planning, Traffic and Accounting transactions.
- Manage commercial inventory across 126+ networks, 5.7M avails, and $170M in Ad Sales revenue.
- Monitor sales team?s pacing and performance versus budget including pipeline reporting. Partner with Finance to create Ad Sales team yearly goals.
- Create, manage and maintain ratecard for General Market, Direct Response and International inventory.
- Establish and manage ratings estimates for sales proposals.
- Track stewardship for all guaranteed deals and manage liability.
- Build sales packages for Special Events/Live Sports sales opportunities.
- Head contact for Traffic, EDI, Invoicing, Stewardship and Inventory.
- Evaluation of front-end and back-end sales systems for upgrade or replacement.
- Lead in creation and improvement of Planning and Sales processes.
- Develop sales, planning and billing processes for national Addressable Ad Sales model
Education & Experience
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have
- A Bachelors degree and 4+ years Pricing and Inventory experience in National Broadcast, Cable, DBS or Online.
- Experience with and understanding of pricing & inventory for both traditional television spots and digital impressions-based ad avails.
- The ability to manage inventory, revenue and rates as it pertains to budget and budget pacing
- Strong relationship skills to work cross-departmentally and with outside vendors (such as MSA, Nielsen)
- Strong analytical skills, strong media math skills, and strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
