Advertised Summary Job Description Columbia University Medical Center has a unique opportunity for a talented nurse practitioner. Reporting to a Senior Cardiologist, the successful applicant will work in the field and be exposed to cutting edge care and interact with top experts. Responsibilities include outpatient evaluation and hospital care under a medical collaborative agreement. Other related duties include evaluation and follow up of hospital, ED and outpatients. Ability to take detailed history, order and interpret diagnostic tests, formulate differential diagnosis. In addition the selectee will work closely with the office manager and is expected to answer patient phone calls and to contact patients for follow up lab tests, insurance pre-certification, and maintain office record-keeping/patient databases. Performs additional duties as needed.
