Jobing Description
GENERAL PURPOSE FOR POSITION: Process payroll for weekly union and non-union employees. Process month end reports for outside agencies as well as internal departments.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Assist in various functions of payroll processing including entry of time, invoice, residuals, direct deposit, garnishments, new hire and termination information.
* Calculation of pay adjustment due to status change.
* Calculate paid time off and garnishments.
* Answer employee requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
* Filing and other payroll duties as necessary or assigned.
* Prepare monthly union payroll report(s).
* Prepare ad hoc reports and other financial department requests as needed.
* Provide a high level of customer service and employee relation based on outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to details making sure the payroll is processed accurately with sufficient back-up support including executed contract(s), properly approved time sheet, etc.
Skills / Requirements
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1 - 3 years of payroll experience
* Good communication skills both written and oral.
* Proficient in Excel; Payroll software (preferably ADP or PeopleSoft), and Database reporting (preferably ADP Reporting or Report Smith).
