Job Description:

As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Medical Assistant is responsible for patient care and support activities promoting patient focused care within the Unit. The Medical Assistant supports the clinical staff in patient care activities, such as: assisting patient with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and performing procedures such as EKG; venipuncture, maintaining a safe, clean environment; and other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required

Completed a Medical Assistant Program

Experience as a Medical Assistant for at least 6 months: perform phlebotomy EKG's; blood pressure; pulse and respiration assessment

Focus on referrals and authorizations

Bilingual Spanish preferred

Experience in Pediatrics and OBGYN is must
