Description
Capital One is hiring for a Principal Associate Security Consultant to serve as a primary point of contact between Corporate Security and Capital One's lines of business (LOBs), providing advice and solutions that mitigate operational, strategic and tactical risks. Perform vulnerability assessments that ensure Capital One LOBs and their third party suppliers are compliant with corporate standards, industry requirements and governmental regulations pertaining to security. Partner with multiple clients through a combination of internal relationship management, applied business analysis and project participation. Influence and gain management support for security initiatives that will yield significant business impacts. Participate in assurance reviews of existing and emerging facilities and security programs (Facility Security Reviews, Security and Life Safety Program Reviews). Design, develop and execute tests and programs to assess compliance with security-related policies, procedures and applicable banking laws and regulations (including Risk Management Dashboards).

Responsibilities:
- Serves as a Security Risk Consultant.
- Contributes to internal Corporate Security Services (CSS) physical security project work.
- Prepares and implements plans to provide direct support to internal clients as needed. Provides input into the development of work plans.
- Leads the field response to bank robberies and other security or safety incidents in the region. Establishes and builds a working relationship with others.
- Typically works independently under limited supervision, and has latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
- May assist the Director or Vice President in performing staff management responsibilities, typically training.
- Executes moderately complex projects based on security expertise and direction from managers.
- Participates in design and execution of more complex security projects.
- Takes an active interest in learning about the business of Capital One.
- Participates in strategic planning based on subject-matter expertise.
- Plans and prioritizes own work well. Is effective at time management.
- Pursues professional development opportunities, including internal and external training and professional association membership, and shares information gained with coworkers.
- May act as a development mentor to Associate and Senior Security Consultants.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in Physical security, threat management, auditing or security consulting experience with a corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 4-6 years of experience in Physical security, threat management, auditing or security consulting experience in banking or the financial services sector
