Position Summary
We are looking for an employee who is dynamic, hard working and uses problem solving skills to get the job done. Automation, auditing, the use of exception reporting and best practices are expected to be the main tools utilized to complete tasks and ensure accurate results.
The Senior Analyst, Payroll will primarily be responsible for performing a full range of payroll processing activities including; analyzing and processing Sirius XM s overall payroll data for transmission and disbursement, ensuring tax authorities receive accurate, timely and appropriate filings and payments, and communicating with employees to resolve questions and issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Utilize knowledge of systems and procedures to automate and enhance processes
* Communicate clearly and effectively with employees as needed to resolve issues or inform them of changes.
* Use exception reporting to complete tasks and audit results
* Appropriately escalate and communicate with management whenever necessary
* Understand, analyze and accurately maintain various payroll schedules and reconciliations
* Be instrumental in the timely and accurate filing and reconciliation of all tax information.
* Organize documentation for appropriate storage and retrieval
* Analyze and appropriately process in the payroll system all payroll data including;
* time sheets
* tax forms
* garnishment notices
* other source payroll documents
* Balance payroll data to source documents
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Indirectly supervise payroll staff members
Minimum Qualifications
* Degreed professional. Accounting or Business Management degree preferred.
* At least 7 years experience in a fast pace environment. Experience with an integrated accounting system preferred. 1 3 years of auditing experience preferred.

Technical Skills
* Strong analytical skills and reconciliation experience
* Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Financials and Ulti Pro)
* Thorough knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
