Description
In partnership with the Senior Manager for Community Relations in the Northeast and the Manager for Community Relations on Long Island, manages community marketing campaigns that advance corporate reputation throughout Long Island.
Responsibilities:
Education Campaign
- Manage grantee relationship with DonorsChoose.org for Long Island campaign including scope of work, deliverables and timeline
- Facilitate the dissemination of DonorsChoose.org gift cards (Capital One branded) for associate and customer choice giving campaign across Long Island
- Partner with business banking to engage business clients in donor match program benefiting classrooms across Long Island
- Advance community marketing in partnership with Brand and Corporate Communications through in-branch promotions, paid/earned media, etc.
- Evaluate campaign outcomes and return on investments
Financial Literacy Campaign
- Advance promotional campaign to increase awareness of Capital One branded financial education programs and partnership / awards program
- Manage selection of and relations with awardees that advance financial education throughout Long Island with youth and adults
- Identify and facilitate associate engagement opportunities with awardees
- Coordinate kick off and closing events to recognize awardees and highlight campaign results
- Advance community marketing in partnership with Brand and Corporate Communications through in-branch promotions, paid/earned media, etc.
- Evaluate campaign outcomes and return on investments
Stakeholder Relations
- Partner with Brand on increasing activations with regional Long Island sponsorships through community channels
- Partner with Corporate Communications on increasing associate communications about our community engagement, events, and partnerships
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in community marketing, public relations, and/or community relations
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA, preferably in business, public relations, marketing or communications
- Strong partnership building and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience in achieving win-win, measurable outcomes through corporate-community partnerships and/or community marketing campaigns
- Ability to make connections between projects and initiatives while advancing innovation that differentiates our outcomes and reputation
- Very strong verbal and written presentation skills; strong influencing skills
- Compelling public speaker
- Able to articulate ROI of corporate social responsibility programming
- Experience creating persuasive PowerPoint presentations; able to write succinctly and descriptively
- Demonstrated ability to collect and utilize data to drive decisions
- Strong networking skills. Easily builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; comfortably and strategically leverages relationships
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask. Experience managing large scale events and activities with multiple partners
- Skills in leading teams and committees to achieve local goals. Ability to design and implement effective work plans and to delegate to and motivate volunteers
- Strong EQ skills. Ability to influence and comfortably interact with senior executives, community leaders, associates, and client groups across the company
