Job Description:
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Sr. Manager, Human Resources and Finance. This position is responsible for managing the HRIS and Payroll functions for the Society. The candidate will work out of our New York Office. Primary responsibilities include:
Supervision of Payroll Specialists
Supervise 3 payroll specialists
Oversee payroll work flow
Ensure appropriate customer service by payroll specialists
Ensure payroll, deduction, tax, and other issues are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner
Lead payroll user calls
Act as a back-up for payroll specialists when they are out of the office
Password resets for HO for TimeSaver & EV5
Assist with troubleshooting issues of EV5 and Virtual Edge
ADP Reporting
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining reports for the entire organization which would include reporting on any data that is capture in all modules.
Create and generate reports for management use in the Home Office or Chapters (ie, vacancy, turnover, EEO1) and also create timely reports that are distributed on a regular basis.
Create a report library for all Departments and Chapters
HR/Payroll Personnel Changes
Responsible for the processing of forms for home office staff as needed. (Salary, Title, Grade and Supervisor Changes)
Product Integration
Understand and troubleshoot the follow of data between the current ADP products in use.
Act as a Project Leader and be responsible for any roll-outs or implementation for future products
Review daily, weekly and monthly reports for data integrity
Ensure data integrity (employees are properly coded in all products) and research issues
Work closely with ADP vendor to resolved any product integration issues
Provide training/guidance to payroll specialists and chapter managers in regards to the ADP HRIS system.
Pension Plan Administration
Responsible for the processing and maintenance of the 403(b) pension plans for Home Office and Chapter employees
Responsible for bi-weekly and monthly reconciliation
Responsible for the year end 401(a) Pension Plan process
Implement data feeds between the Plan provider and the HRIS vendor
Miscellaneous
Assist with special projects as assigned such as, assisting with auditor s request, completing surveys, and troubleshooting virtual edge issues.
Handle compliance for annual EEO1 report submission & Flexible Spending Account Non-Discrimination Testing for annual submission
Requirements:
Experience/Skills required:
A Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 5 years Payroll processing experience including recruitment and HRIS experience. PHR certification a plus. Strong payroll skills and previous management experience is required.
Must be proficient Microsoft Office Suite and Knowledge of ADP products. Must have analytical skills and must be detail orientated. The ability to prioritize and multi-task is a must.
The ability to maintain highly confidential information is essential.
