Be the change in a small public school. Teach in a new visions public school.

Re-envision your Future. Teach New Visions. New Visions for Public Schools is seeking passionate, experienced New York City special educators who want to transfer into small, progressive schools. Working with the NYC Department of Education, New Visions is a network of 80 schools across the five boroughs that benefit from the focus, resources, and development opportunities afforded to smaller, more intimate learning communities. Visit www.newvisions.org/teach to learn more about bringing your New York City public school expertise to the students of New Visions partner public schools.

Small Schools, Big Impact. New Visions schools are primarily small high schools and middle schools, many in their first years of growth. Our schools are varied, with new schools, transfer schools, CTE schools, single-sex schools and bilingual schools all a part of our network. Last year, we launched two new charter high schools that are continuing to grow in the coming school year: New Visions Charter High School for Humanities and The New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the opening of two additional New Visions Charter High Schools in September 2012.

Exemplary Teaching Matters. All New Visions principals seek to empower their team of teachers through professional development and leadership opportunities specific to small schools. Exclusive grants like the Fund for Teachers give teachers with three years of experience the opportunity to travel internationally to develop new lessons and curriculum to appeal to their students and revitalize their practice. Between our new and growing schools and our established, innovative schools like the East-West School for International Studies and Frederick Douglass Academy II, we hired over 300 teachers last summer.

One Application, 80 New York City Public Schools. One application provides access to a network of 80 diverse schools looking for committed, experienced teachers. We strongly encourage Special Education teachers interested in working with middle and high school students to apply.

Our application yields strong matches between teachers and schools by taking your preferences into account. To learn more about teaching with New Visions schools and to access our application, visit http://www.newvisions.org/teach.even if you have applied with us already in the past.
