Position Description:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Operations, this position will be responsible for managing daily processes related to Biblio (Macmillan’s bibliographic database system), Edelweiss, and the ONIX feed to retailers. They will provide light user support for Biblio and Edelweiss users, and they will help with testing related to quarterly Biblio releases.

Major Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for working with large amounts of data and working within systems
• Will be responsible for multiple daily tasks related to our publishing systems and processes
• Test and validate new Biblio developments, ONIX changes, new ONIX partner set up, and interfaces between multiple company systems
• Provide end-user support – this will include desk-side support and some documentation
• Participate in ad hoc departmental projects. May include some interface support, testing for other user applications, etc.

Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Proficient in Excel
• Publishing experience strongly preferred

Experience Needed:

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Comfort with technology and systems necessary

Educational Background Required:

• College degree or equivalent work experience
