Job Description



Deliver software services to meet the firm’s needs by configuring, implementing, customizing, and supporting vendor applications

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, configure, and implement software applications under the direction of Applications Architect and Applications Manager
  • Assist in reviewing business requirements; translating requirements into technical specifications for application configuration, data migration and system integration
  • Assist in day to day support and maintenance of applications; provide level two and three support for help desk tickets
  • Create documentation of systems and processes for applications, such as procedure manuals, technical diagrams, design documents, code comments
  • Serve as troubleshooting resource and work with the various vendors to resolve complex systems issues
  • Work independently and assume ownership of project tasks
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and clients
  • Perform analysis and execute tasks related to application functionality such as integrations, reporting, upgrades, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors; develop knowledge to support vendor systems; develop and maintain documentation of vendor systems
  • Create test plans; perform QA; ensure quality of software deliverables
  • Comply with IT’s change management policy


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, with 3+ year in application engineering
  • Prior law firm experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience configuring and supporting legal applications such as iManage Work, Micron CE Manager, Foundation Experience Management, and vi Recruit/Eval
  • Experience working with legal technology vendors to implement new systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working with employees at all levels including senior management
  • Demonstrate using good judgment in making sound decisions
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Knowledge of one or more software development technology
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimum supervision, take initiative, follow through, and see projects through to completion.
