Mortgage Appraisal Administrator

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:

The Mortgage Appraisal Administrator is responsible for full management and maintenance of an independent appraisal desk for residential and commercial appraisals. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Appraiser maintenance.
  • Appraisal ordering and tracking.
  • Appraisal compliance and completeness reviews.
  • Fielding of questions between mortgage operations staff and appraisers.
  • Reconciling of appraisal invoices and billing.
  • Cross training on other functions of mortgage administration including but not limited to loan set-up, completeness review, and pre-closing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year experience in a mortgage lending environment required.

Skills/Knowledge/Certifications

  • Detail oriented and accurate.

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment which is deadline driven.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with others and under time constraints.

  • Working knowledge of the computer and the internet; Word and Excel experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of mortgage systems preferred.

  • Must be highly organized and maintain a high level of customer service between both the independent approved appraisal panel as well as Metro Credit Union’s mortgage departments.
  • Candidates should have general knowledge of web based computer applications as well as Microsoft Word and Excel and must show strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work independently including problem solving.
