This position involves reporting for 1-2 days/week to one of the four NYC forensic psychiatry court clinics (Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn/Staten Island) for a time period determined by the CHS Mental Health Service based on clinic staffing needs. The position will report to the Director of the respective clinic and will be responsible for conducting court-ordered mental health evaluations of defendants in the criminal justice system, preparing reports in a timely manner, and if necessary, providing courtroom testimony related to their findings.
A Ph.D degree with active NY State license in good standing
- At least one year of post-training experience as a Forensic Psychologist in criminal justice settings
- A history of testimony in criminal court cases
Any equivalent and satisfactory combination of education and experience may be considered
