General Responsibilities

  • Familiar with physician practices'' workflows and patient experiences
  • Understands the objectives for implementing an EMR and can recognize opportunities for process redesign that will help our organization maximize the benefits of the implementation
  • Understand and account for a vast array of integration points. EpicCare Ambulatory integrates with a variety of systems, including scheduling, Laboratory, Radiology, Billing, and Inpatient. Design and build workflows that take advantage of this integration.
  • Coordinate and communicating with end users and representatives from ancillary departments, such as Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy

 Responsibilities related to MyChart (Patient Portal) & EpicCare Link

  • Because EpicCare Link provides external users with access to data entered using either Epic''s other applications or interfaces, the EpicCare Link Application Analyst will work closely with other application analysts and the interface team.
  • Works with our Web server Administrator to coordinate the timing of hardware implementation and to brand the application.
  • Identifies users who will access patient records via EpicCare Link such as referring providers, referred to providers, and contracted providers
  • Determines criteria and workflows used to establish relationships between patients and EpicCare Link users. These criteria ultimately determine the patient population each EpicCare Link user can access.
